Introduction

In this guide, I will share with you my personal steps on buying and life changing experiences from owning Exotic Cars. I will also reveal where to find affordable Exotics and tell you performance information and other helpful information about the cars that will assist in your decision when making an Exotic car purchase.

The one thing that keeps someone from buying an Exotic car is obvious… the price. People automatically assume the price of an Exotic Car is way out of their league so they never even begin looking or building any curiosity. Typically, they decide to look for something else. Something a little more affordable, like the cars advertised constantly on radio and TV commercials. This is the reason I wrote this book. I’m going to prove that there are plenty of affordable Exotic Cars out there and I will reveal where to find them and get you in contact with the best company for financing one. In this book I will tell you about my experiences and secrets for buying exotic cars on a budget. I will also share some of the purchases myself and some of my friends have made over the last few years that will blow your mind!

What exactly is an Exotic car? Well the dictionary defines the word EXOTIC as “Strikingly unusual or strange in effect or appearance” and soon I will give you a glimpse of some of the most beautiful Exotic Cars that are actually affordable!

80’s Dreaming…

Back in the early 80’s when I was in elementary school, I remember having a big, long poster of every boy’s dream car on my wall. That’s right, The Lamborghini Countach. Wow what a machine! The stance of a warrior with the curves of a beautiful woman’s body… This car dominated all that approached it and set the Benchmark for the term “Exotic Car”. The other car that sat at the right hand side of the Lamborghini Countach in my opinion, was the Ferrari Testarossa. Again, standing like a warrior amongst a handful of Exotic cars and contained the lines and curves that just invited you to run your hands across the full length of the car, if you ever got close enough to one. dreams… dreams… my best friend Reggie and I always said to each other while chuckling about “Even if we could even afford a car like that one day, we never would be able to afford the insurance!” Well, sometimes, dreams do come true.

Reality Check

As I finished college in 1998, I realized that a real world of finance and opportunity awaited me. This was no longer toying around with jobs at the local grocery store and trying to sell clothes at retail stores in the mall. This was “The big league”, where there was a steady income and the future looked good. I got a job as a Technician straight out of college and with the new income I could afford to get a car my friends and I have been wanting for the last few years. A 1992 Ford Mustang 5.0 Convertible. Ah yes…. Finally some wheels with good looks and the power to back it up. That Mustang was an amazing car and by the time I was looking for a new job about a year and a half after buying the Mustang, I had almost every modification possible on the car making it nearly illegal to drive on the street. Well, ok, so it was illegal to drive on the street, but ummmm…. I won’t get into all that. The car was almost impractical to drive but gosh what a beast!

Since I turned the Mustang into such a fuel hog and my commute to work was a bit of a drive, I really needed a car with a little better gas mileage. I was talking with my parents about this and they decided to sell me their 1995 Buick Regal for only about $3,000. Well I jumped on that pretty quick and things were much easier with gas and the assurance that I was driving a more practical car as a daily driver.

By the way, about a year later, I started a project called the “Texas Mustang” project. I bought a 4 banger Mustang ($500.)

And I ripped it apart to the bare shell, while taking the motor, wires, lights, fuel lines, fenders, etc… from my convertible and building a Drag Car as you can see here. You can learn TONS when building a car from ground up! Very fun project!
